When I was told to look elsewhere than my beat for photography for the second blog post for class this week, I immediately went to National Geographic, where I knew I would find excellent photos.
But I searched on, taking a look at a tried and true news source: the New York Times. It took me a while to even find their photo slideshows, and I actually had to just end up searching for them in order to locate them on the site.
The Super Bowl Photo Replay was alright, not amazing photography, but informative and decent images. It was good enough to make me feel like I watched more of Sunday's game than I actually did.
I really did enjoy the "A Turning Point for Tijuana" slideshow. The colorful photos made me feel like I could hear and smell the streets of Tijuana, as well as see them through the photographer's eyes.
